A FIGHT broke out on a Florida bus when news of Michael Jackson’s death sparked a debate over whether he should be remembered as a great musical talent, it has been reported.
One passenger has been charged with assault, following the incident, said police.

The bus was travelling through North Lauderdale last Thursday when passenger James Kiernan received a text message about Jackson’s death on his phone and read it aloud.

When the bus driver replied: “Michael Jackson should have been in jail long ago,” 60-year-old Kiernan retorted “the world just lost a great musical talent,” a police report said.

It said the last remark enraged another passenger, Henry Wideman, who started a swearing match with Kiernan, before pulling out knife and chasing Kiernan down the aisle with it.

The driver called his dispatcher and pulled over near a convenience store to wait for police, who arrested Wideman (54) and charged himn with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
